Pier 6 and Brooklyn Bridge Park

We're a 5 minute walk to the newly developed Brooklyn Bridge Park, which boasts the most spectacular views of the Manhattan Skyline and the legendary Brooklyn Bridge. The Park has running and biking paths all along the waterfront, with Citi-Bike rentals available at the entrance. There is access to Water-Taxi's as well as a ferry to Governors Island, directly across the river.

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge

Being Brooklynites for forever, Gia & I have NEVER done this, so good luck.. .lol

I'm not kidding! So here's a link on how to get to the famous pedestrian walkway/bike lane.

Just BE CAREFUL.. There's lots of traffic up there ;)

VISIT GOVERNORS ISLAND

Governors Island is a 172 acre island in the heart of New York Harbor. It's only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn!

It is unique world unto itself. Use the Pier 6 Ferry at Brooklyn Bridge Park to hop on over and explore :)
